YVC alumnus and former ASYVC officer Miguel Blancas-Alejo was recently selected to participate in a 15-week internship with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU).
Blancas-Alejo is one of over 100 students accepted nationally to HACU’s National Internship Program. All fall interns are working remotely in federal internships. The following agencies in the Washington, D.C., metro area and field offices throughout the country are among those providing these virtual internship opportunities to students: Agricultural Research Service, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Food and Nutrition Service, Library of Congress, National Agricultural Statistics Service, National Institute of Food and Agriculture, National Science Foundation, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Office of the Minority and Women Inclusion, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Securities and Exchange Commission.
